Parses and validates DICOM metadata against configurable quality criteria, catching issues before they contaminate downstream analysis pipelines.

Extensible Plugin Architecture

Context

In multicentre clinical trials, imaging data is collected across many hospitals with different scanners and operators. Inconsistencies in acquisition parameters — field strength, slice thickness, sequence type — can introduce systematic bias. ECIQC was built to catch these issues at ingestion time, before expensive analysis steps are run, ensuring only protocol-compliant images enter the research pipeline.
